The BeamGuard can be used either as an independent Fall Arrest anchorage connector for 1 worker, or as a component of a horizontal lifeline system. It is compatible with steel support beams ranging from 4 to 13—3/4 inches in width, and up to 1—1/4 inches thick. The BeamGuard post is 42 inches in height, and attaches to beams at an angle so as not to impede worker movement. If used in a horizontal lifeline system, BeamGuard posts must be placed between 10 and 60 feet apart, with the line between each consecutive pair of posts (not including Pass-Through posts) capable of supporting up to 2 workers in Fall Arrest. The Guardian Fall Protection Pass-Through Top is also available to convert any BeamGuard post into an intermediary post, which allows for longer runs of continuous cable. Always ensure that all aspects of horizontal lifeline installation, inspection, and maintenance are supervised by a Qualified Person. Prior to use, always ensure that line sag is within limits specified by the equipment instruction manual.
