Sudbury, Ontario – October 28, 2010- Norguard Industries a leading designer and manufacturer of fall protection equipment, announced today that all Norguard miners’ belts are now manufactured with stainless steel grommets and a twelve thousand pound minimum breaking strength webbing for increased durability and longevity.
“The first product that Norguard manufactured in 1989 when the company was founded was our miner’s belt with patented leather back pad. For this reason, it is very important to us that our belts remain top of the line in quality,” said Tina Desjardins, Vice President of Operations at Norguard Industries. “Norguard’s culture for continuous improvement drove our decision to upgrade the material used to manufacture our miners’ belts. All belts will now include stainless steel grommets and thicker more abrasive resistant webbing. These modifications will assist in prolonging the life of the product,” said Desjardins who also emphasized that these products are all manufactured in Norguard’s Sudbury, Ontario facility. “Having our manufacturing facility in Canada assists us is meeting our customers’ special sizing or product requirements. We manufacture these belts in a wide range of sizes from thirty inches to fifty-six inches. They can be made with one or two straps or without any depending on the application.”
Norguard also offers its miners’ belts with a specially formulated coating called Bioseal. This belt is ideally suited for mining, petrochemical, utility workers, water treatment, construction, painting and food processing to name a few. The Bioseal surface provides a 95% cleanable with liquid soap and water, and is highly resistant to cuts, mildew, aging, welding splatter and has excellent dielectric properties. The Norguard BioSeal Rhino® body belt is manufactured with higher quality polyester material for durability and long life delivering 30% more tensile strength after severe abrasion.
All products are available immediately through Norguard distributors.
